vSphere Migration von 5.5 auf 6.7 ohne VM Downtime mit “VM-Shipping”

22. September 2019 Sebastian Comments 0 Comment

Setup Nutanix CE All-Flash NVMe – Part 2

So you could call this article Part 3

First of all, let’s look at the requirements for this HCI System in a Box. The most important thing for me was that it is portable and quickly operational.

The customer and me simply don’t have the time to set up a functional showcase in 15-20 minutes. Also I did not want to check every time whether all cables are there. So I thought, that it is a good idea, to built a portable system.

Nutanix – Decreasing CVM Memory (post-install)

21. December 2018 Stefan Comments 0 Comment

Why should we reduce or decreasing the RAM at all? It is often the case that only limited resources are available in a LAB/Homelab. In these cases it is necessary to reduce the CVM Memory from 16GB to 8GB. In this short article I will show you how this can be done after installation.

Today I want to build a Nutanix CE All-Flash 4 Node Cluster together with you. The first part is about the Hardware/Software Requirements, Image Deployment on the USB-Sticks for the operation system and the third part is about configuring the cluster completely and doing some tests.

Attention: I will run the 4 node Nutanix CE cluster with unsupported NVMe SSD drives. In case of doubt you should rely on SATA SSD Drives!
